A High-Altitude Haven: A Cabin Transformed
Perched at an elevation of 9,600 feet, the original cabin - with its solid foundation and timeless charm - underwent a powerful transformation. Key updates to the existing structure include a redesigned window layout, a modernized roof, an improved interior layout, and contemporary finishes, breathing new life into the space.
A complementary new structure was added parallel to the cabin, creating a balance between the two volumes. The original structure now serves as the primary living space, while the new addition houses a garage, an interior spa with a roll-up door, and a lofted artist studio above - perfect for creative inspiration.
The outdoor spaces include a 40-foot lap pool sits adjacent to the covered spa, both offering unobstructed views of the majestic mountain landscapes to the south and west. Stone walkways, a cozy fire pit, and native plantings seamlessly blend the built environment with the rugged beauty of the natural surroundings, creating a serene and functional retreat.

A central staircase provides access to the loft while naturally delineating the space, creating a dedicated lounge area at the southern end. This intimate retreat invites residents to unwind by the fireplace, enjoy music, savor a drink, and immerse themselves in reading. Thoughtfully integrated into the architectural composition, the lounge enhances the loft’s ambiance, offering a warm and inspiring environment that complements the artistic spirit of the space.
